About The NDIS - will help you understand key information about the NDIS including what it is, if you can access it, when it will be available, and why it’s important.

ADEC Advocacy - Action on Disability within Ethnic Communities Inc. (ADEC) is a state-wide organisation that strives to empower people with a disability from Non-English speaking backgrounds, their carers, and families to fully participate as members of the Victorian community.

​

Child Safe Standards - All organisations in Victoria that provide services or facilities for children are required to comply with Child Safe Standards, to ensure that the safety of children is promoted, child abuse is prevented and allegations of child abuse are properly responded to.

​

The NDIS Code of Conduct - this Code of Conduct applies to all NDIS providers, registered and unregistered, and all persons employed or otherwise engaged by an NDIS provider.

​

Disability Services Commissioner - an independent voice promoting rights and resolving complaints about disability services.

​

National Standards for Disability Services - The Australian Government adopted the standards for its employment and advocacy services for people with disability from 1 January 2014 for employment service providers, and from 1 July 2014 for advocacy agencies funded under the National Disability Advocacy Program.

Registered Service Providers - A link to registered providers that have met requirements regarding qualifications, approvals, experience and capacity for the approved supports.

Universal Declaration of Human Rights - the purpose of the present Convention is to promote, protect and ensure the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms by all persons with disabilities, and to promote respect for their inherent dignity.
