BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT

At Exaudy Care Pty Ltd, we are committed to supporting people with disability to live with dignity, safety, and independence. One of the key services we proudly provide under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is Behaviour Support—a specialised support that promotes positive behaviour change through respectful, person-centred strategies.

What is NDIS Behaviour Support?

NDIS Behaviour Support is designed for participants who display behaviours of concern that may affect their quality of life or safety. These behaviours may also impact those around them, including family, carers, and support workers.

Behaviour support focuses on understanding the underlying reasons behind behaviours and implementing evidence-based strategies to improve well-being, communication, and engagement. Our goal is not to "fix" the person but to support them in a way that reduces stress, increases independence, and enhances participation in daily life.

Our Approach at Exaudy Care

At Exaudy Care, we take a holistic, collaborative, and trauma-informed approach to Behaviour Support. Our experienced and qualified Behaviour Support Practitioners work closely with participants, families, carers, and allied health professionals to develop tailored Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).

Our support includes:

  • Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)

  • Development of Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans

  • Training for carers and support staff to implement strategies effectively

  • Monitoring and regular reviews of the plan and its effectiveness

  • Compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards

Who Can Access Behaviour Support?

NDIS participants with funding in their plan for Improved Relationships can access Behaviour Support services. If you’re unsure whether this applies to your plan, our team is happy to help you navigate your funding and connect with the right supports.
